Clickindia.com is India’s free online community notice board where anyone can post classified offers, ads and public announcements under more than 100 categories ranging from jobs, matrimony, education, travel, electronics, to household items, mobiles, services, etc. Within six months of its Beta launch, the website already has 50,000 active ads (less than 8 weeks old). With well over 1,500 unique visitors per day, the website is fast gaining popularity among the average Indian Internet user. “We noticed the technology is growing too fast for an average Indian Net user to follow, and most classified websites are too complicated and time consuming to be practically useful to them. We therefore created a simple, no-nonsense website where anyone in India can easily post a notice, an offer, an ad that becomes searchable by category and locality, says Amit Gundh, one for the three founders of Clickindia.com. “Most people want to locate and interact with vendors, buyers or parties interested in their offer locally within their area of residence/work. At Clickindia.com, you can post or find a beauty saloon or an air-conditioner repair shop ad in your locality. People are appreciating our simple approach and the response is growing by the day”, adds Gundh.
The website is completely free and users can easily post offers to sell their mobile phones, find property available for sale or rent, or look for suitable life partners online on click of a mouse. “The beauty of the website is that though the local communities remain intact, the reach of your ad is nation-wide, says Pankaj Agarwal, an IIM graduate, who along with Gundh and Sushan Rungta launched the website in January this year.
“We wanted to build a site that would benefit the masses in India. Clickindia.com is not a replacement to the print classified advertising, however, it has an immense advantage over the print media due to its searchability and cost”, says Sushan, who wears the tech wizard’s hat amongst the three.
Within a year Clickindia.com aims at becoming the most simple and effective online notice board for any Indian to post buy / sell offers, find jobs, life partners or announce their messages across at local/national level.
