Time Warner Cable, the nation’s second-largest cable television operator, today announced the successful completion of its first year in Buffalo with technical system upgrades and new product launches to point to as highlights. On its first anniversary, Time Warner Cable recounted several major capital investments in the Buffalo division that moved the area forward by about 3 years including repairing aging or damaged cable, significant expansion of the high capacity transport network to accommodate the growth of data products, improved billing statements and procedures, creation of a local network operation center staffed around the clock to provide surveillance needed to anticipate problems, increased training of technicians and total localization of call center operations. All of this investment made it possible for Time Warner Cable to bring several new products to the market this past year such as Digital Video Recording (DVR), HD TV, Road Runner High Speed Internet and most recently, Digital Home Phone.
