Smith will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s increasingly solutions focused approach across EMEA.
Rhoderick Smith brings more than 30 years of experience to Network General, and has previously been involved with some of the biggest names in IT and Telecommunications industry, including HP and BT. Prior to joining Network General he was a senior consultant with Solutions for Sales where he worked with many blue chip companies in telecommunications services, financial software and telematics to help them improve the effectiveness of their sales teams.
Before that, in his role as an EMEA business development manager with Compaq and Tandem Computers, Smith drove over $30m of sales in messaging, business intelligence and real-time data warehousing with customers as diverse as Royal Sun Alliance and Deutsche Telecom.
“My mix of IT, networking and sales experience makes this role a natural fit for me,” explains Smith. “The ability to see things from all sides, from the systems engineers to the sales representative and of course, from the customer’s perspective is vital to remaining competitive in today’s market, and I look forward to demonstrating that during my time at Network General.”
