The Company experiences sales growth across the country and among numerous specialties. License sales in the quarter ended June 30, 2007 (MedcomSoft’s fourth fiscal quarter) exceeded license sales for all of fiscal 2006, and also exceeded aggregate license sales for the first three quarters of fiscal 2007.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2007, MedcomSoft Record has been acquired by practices or organizations located in Florida, California, Texas, New York, Georgia, Missouri, Washington, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania in various specialties, including family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, gastroenterology, ENT, cardiology, internal medicine, nephrology, plastic surgery and neurology.
Included within the groups that have acquired MedcomSoft Record are previously announced transactions, such as the purchases by the University of Central Missouri and Independent Physicians Network, Inc. Also included is the purchase of MedcomSoft Record by Community Advanced Practice Nurses, Inc. (CAPN). CAPN, with six locations across Atlanta, Georgia, provides free physical, mental and preventive health care to homeless and medically underserved individuals and families in Metropolitan Atlanta. The mission of CAPN is to strengthen the lives of people who are medically underserved; and they believe that healthy independence is promoted through health care delivered with acceptance, compassion, and sensitivity to an individual’s life circumstances.
According to Connie Buchanan, MS, NP-C, FNP, Executive Director of CAPN, “Our Board unanimously selected MedcomSoft Record after a two year process of rigorously evaluating the leading EMRs. It is important to us to have a system that is user friendly, as well as one that supports our clinical process efficiently while providing the information needed to report on the results of our care. MedcomSoft Record easily satisfied each of these objectives. In addition, MedcomSoft Record will give us the ability to deliver quality patient care by providing access to complete patient data from all of our locations; will support our ability to make referrals with critical clinical information; and, for our very important pediatric population, will support maintenance of immunization data in coordination with GRITS (Georgia Registry for Immunization). We are looking forward to using MedcomSoft Record and getting the application fully implemented at each of our locations to further enhance our ability to provide an environment which will support our goals of treating the whole person.”
