CWorks Systems Introduces MWorks for Mobile Facility Maintenance

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Austin, TX, United States, 06/22/2007 - CWorks Systems, Inc., announced today the launch of its add-on service MWorks, the advanced handheld version of CWorks computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

MWorks allows facility managers and technicians to access their facility management software via their handheld PDA (personal digital assistant). This enables them to see the status of Work Orders, receive new ones, be aware of emergencies and update the database from the field, without the need to resort to paperwork. This add-on service is especially useful for maintenance teams where facilities are geographically dispersed.

“Today consumers want immediate access to all of their technology needs – cell phones, PDA’s, IPods. Facilities managers expect no less. That is why we developed MWorks,” stated CWorks’ CEO Abdul Rani. “MWorks allows facility managers and technicians to connect and access their CWorks maintenance software by just reaching into their pocket and pulling out their personal handheld device – without having to go back to their office or shop computer station. This is just another example of CWorks Systems answering the real needs of our FM customers and providing them with the necessary tools to most effectively maintain their facilities.”

MWorks allows for anywhere, anytime access to work orders through mobile internet enabled devices. MWorks, an add-on product to CWorks Plus & SQL, is offered at the competitive price of $99/ PDA license. These handheld mobile devices can be on-line or synchronized. The on-line version provides downloads and uploads of maintenance information in realtime. The synchronized version can be uploaded with maintenance data at the beginning of the work shift and then downloaded during regular intervals or at the end of the shift. Synchronization ensures that the downloaded data does not overwrite any changes that might have been made since the last upload.
