Mr. Philip’s role had stretched over his past twelve years with Doremus, growing well beyond expected media boundaries, and eventually evolved to meet the needs of the current “consumer driven” communications environment.
Mr. Philip has been recognized three years in a row by B2B magazine as a “top media strategist,” and is the creative brains behind a recent cover-wrap program for Russell Investment Group that appeared on the launch issue of Conde Nast’s Portfolio magazine, the first cover-wrap ever done by Conde Nast on any of its publications.
He has also devised innovative, non-traditional “firsts” for other clients, such as the U-shaped ad to convey the feeling of a full page without the hefty price tag and the use of the Bloomberg terminal, a fixture on many Wall Street desks, to run ads above the ticker. The same media device was also used for the first time by CNBC above their ticker.
His building side for a large multi-industrial client conveniently overlooked the trading floor of a well-known financial services firm.
Within the trade show space, Mr. Philip has identified never-done-before ways of using flagpoles, fountains, and stair risers. He has bought out subway tunnels and metro stations that are heavily frequented by the target audience. His innovations have been applauded by the media community and are now imitated at other trade shows.
