	NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Bothell, WA, United States, 06/18/2007 - The national mortgage magazine receives a Society of Publication Designers Merit Award.

	Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, has announced that it recently won a national design award for an article spread in the magazine. In the Society of Publication Designers’ (SPD) 42nd Annual Competition, Scotsman Guide received a Merit Award in its Best Design: Spread/Single Page category. The award-winning spread appeared in Scotsman Guide’s September 2006 residential edition for “Groom to Move,” an article on mortgage subservicing by Sammy J. Long of GMAC Mortgage Corp. Scotsman Guide graphic artist Rich Kim designed the spread, which included an illustration by contributing illustrator Keith Negley. Deb Choat, Scotsman Guide’s marketing manager and former production manager, oversaw the design of the feature. The spread will appear in the SPD’s 42nd Publication Design Annual, which will feature all award-winning magazine designs and illustrations from 2006.
