Livermore, CA, United States, 2007/06/13 - Wingstop, a fast-growing, chicken wing franchise known for cooked-to-order wings, continued its California expansion with the recent opening of its first Livermore, Calif. restaurant.
Troy and Maritza Brown of M.A.T.T. Investments, Inc., opened the new Wingstop in the 580 Shopping Center at 4436 Las Positas Rd. (At First Street, near Target and Mervyn’s). Wingstop’s signature bone-in chicken wings and boneless wing strips are prepared fresh and are available in nine proprietary flavors. Both types of wings are made-to-order and there are no heat lamps, microwaves or holding bins in the store. Side dishes are made from scratch and prepared daily in each location. Party platters are available for catered events such as office parties, family gatherings and sporting events.
“Maritza introduced me to Wingstop, and from the moment I first tried their food I was hooked,” said Brown. “Customers in the Livermore area are especially drawn to the lemon pepper flavored wings and the fresh cut seasoned fries.”
Brown says that this particular Wingstop is in an ideal location to serve over 800,000 people who pass daily.
“This is a high volume traffic area, and a great midpoint for those commuting to Stockton,” said Brown. “Instead of having to wait until they get to their final destination, families can stop off and enjoy some wings.”
Over the next year, Brown says he plans to open three more Wingstop restaurants.
Wingstop offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings. The chain now serves boneless wing strips that are made from 100 percent all-white meat chicken breast coated with a proprietary batter and breading. Wingstop features nine wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are always made-to-order and served steaming hot. Customers can also choose from homemade side dishes including fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, pearl potato salad, creamy cole slaw, vegetable sticks, rolls and assorted dipping sauces.
Wingstop has more than 550 restaurants either open or under development in 26 states and consistently tops industry growth rankings.
