Tidelands Bank, a full-service coastal South Carolina bank, has opened a new personal banking branch at 1100 Park West Blvd., which is located at the entrance to the growing neighborhood. All banking at the new branch will be via one-on-one interactions at desks instead of at more traditional counters where customers wait in line for a teller.
The public is invited to the grand opening celebration June 4, 5 and 6 from 4 pm to 7 pm each evening. The celebration will feature live jazz entertainment, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, wine tasting and a selection of desserts each evening. Employees will also be on hand to address questions about the bank’s services.
During the month of June, Tidelands Bank, a dedicated supporter of public education, will donate $25 for all personal accounts and $50 for all business accounts opened to the Charleston County School District in support of programs at Laurel Hill Primary School, Charles Pinckney Elementary School, Thomas Cario Middle School and Wando High School.
At 4:45 p.m. on June 4, Tidelands Bank CEO Robert “Chip” Coffee will lead a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and afterward he will present a $1,500 check, the minimum the bank will donate from the opening of new accounts, to Charleston County School District Associate Superintendent Dr. Lynda Davis and Director of Communications Jerry Adams.
