Properazzi.com – the property search engine – won last night the Third Place award in a contest to find Europe’s most innovative online technology start-ups. The international contest, Startup 2.0, organised by a group of Spanish entrepreneurial and financial organisations, received hundreds of submissions from innovative young companies across Europe. The submissions were judged in three stages by both the internet user community at large and a jury of influential European online technologists, including French blogger Loïc Le Meur and entrepreneur Martín Varsavsky.
Properazzi CEO Yannick Laclau said: “We’re honoured to have won this accolade, and more importantly, very excited to see that the use of cutting-edge online technology in a traditional industry such as real estate has received such recognition. Properazzi’s crawler-based search engine technology indexes property listings from over 6,600 real estate agency sites across Europe, and allows users to access property information in all European languages and currencies. Properazzi’s novel approach has won praise in both technology and real estate circles worldwide.

Five finalists were then selected for a final presentation and face-off in Bilbao, Spain, held on 24th May.
