Number of UK Patients Travelling to Poland Set to Increase

London, United Kingdom, 05/23/2007 - In 2006, patients from outside of Poland spent US$ 65 million medical treatment, and it is estimated that 3% of the 15.2 million tourists who visited Poland last year, did so for dental or medical procedures.
According to forecasts by the The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (Paiz), the number of patients travelling to Poland from overseas is set to increase by 10-20% each year, as increasing numbers of British patients realise that the price of dentistry and surgery can be a lot less in Poland compared to the United Kingdom. In many cases, savings of up to 60 % can be made.
In addition to this, increasing air connections between Polish cities and cities in the United Kingdom are offered by budget airlines, making the journey more convenient than ever before.
