Karo Parisyan, “the Heat” and Affliction Clothing have struck a deal to design and release at SolisCompany.com a new edition to the UFC Signature Series Shirts. The release is brilliantly timed with the arrival of UFC 71 on May 26th, 2007 where Parisyan will battle against Josh Burkman. Karo Parisyan will fight in UFC 71 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26th against Josh Burkman. Karo comes off of a victory over Drew Ficket whom he defeated last December leaving him the current record of 6-2 in the Octagon. He comments that Josh Burkman is a ‘tough guy.’ However he confidently adds that his next opponent is “good in everything, but not great in anything.”
Parisyan has proven himself to be the best fighter in the MMA to use Judo. He has successfully adapted his style in the Octagon to fight without the use of a Judogi. For 13 years, he has developed under the Hayastan Grapping System, a blended style of martial arts that includes elements of Judo, Sambo, Muay Thai and Greco-Roman wrestling, having trained at the Hayastan Academy until 2005. Karo is currently an MMA trainer at the WFA Legends gym. Besides training, Karo works in Hollywood both as a stuntman and as an accomplished actor.
