Berkeley, California-based renewable energy and green lifestyle company Green Options has launched its first podcast series, “Greening the Golden Years.” Each Thursday, podcaster and retired broadcast journalist Max Lindberg will report on efforts by senior citizens to live greener, more sustainable lives. He’ll also talk to the business people and advocates promoting green living for seniors.
Lindberg worked for over four decades as a broadcast journalist for radio and television. More recently, he produced “The Lindberg Report," a podcast series on alternative fuels. He also publishes “The Fuels Report," a website that follows news and developments in alternative fuels technology. He resides in Tucson, Arizona.
“We’re thrilled to have someone of Max’s knowledge and experience spearheading our first podcast series,” said Green Options CEO David Anderson. “Much of the green media targets younger audiences, but we know that people of all ages are interested in lightening their environmental footprint. We believe elder citizens have much to contribute to a more sustainable world.”
Upcoming episodes of “Greening the Golden Years” will feature interviews with Byron Kennard, Executive Director of The Center for Small Business and the Environment, “Green Granny” Joyce Emery, founder of GreenSeniors.org and GreenGranny.org, and Ryan Chao, Executive Director of Satellite Housing, a non-profit developer of affordable, and often solar-powered, senior housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
