Clipmarks, the leader in Web clipping technology, today announces a major enhancement to its Clip-to-Blog feature – allowing users to post clipped content to multiple blogs simultaneously. Users can now clip text, images and video they find on the web and instantly post that content – along with their own commentary – directly to multiple blogs.
"We developed Clip-to-Blog for the purpose of making it easier for people to post things they find on the Web directly to their blog without disrupting the flow of their online experience," said Eric Goldstein, CEO of Clipmarks. "Our new multi-posting capability takes this a step further by enabling people with more than one blog to easily post clipped content to any or all of their blogs at the same time, without ever leaving the page from which they’re clipping.”
Clip-to-Blog lets bloggers instantly post content they find on the Web – including paragraphs, sentences, images or videos - directly to their blog. Automatically included with each Clip-to-Blog post is a link to the source of the clip, eliminating the need to copy and paste and ensuring that content is properly attributed to its source. With the new multi-posting feature, users can create a single Clip-to-Blog post that includes the content they clip - along with their own remarks if they choose - and then publish that post to multiple blogs with one click.
Users only need to set up the service one time to sync Clipmarks with their assorted blogs. From that point on, users can choose which blogs to post each clip to, or set up a default blog(s) to automatically post each clip to. Clip-to-Blog is compatible with leading blogging platforms, including Blogger, Wordpress and all Six Apart services (Typepad, LiveJournal, Movable Type, and Vox).
Clipmarks made its name by offering a unique way to capture information on the Web. Much like magazine or newspaper clippings, Clipmarks allows users to clip just the pieces of the page they want to save or share. Users can save their clips on clipmarks.com, post them to their blog, or email them to friends. With ClipSearch, users can search the full content of everything they clip -- in effect, by clipping the interesting things they find on the Web, users are building their own personal search engines. Thousands of Clipmarks users save their clips publicly, creating a people-powered search engine that offers all users and site visitors a compelling new way to discover the best bits of the Web.
Clip-to-Blog is a feature within the free Clipmarks browser add-on available for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Flock.
