London, United Kingdom, 2007/04/18 - Network General™ Corporation, the leading provider of IT Service Assurance solutions, today announced the appointment of Kevin Tumulty as its new vice president of sales and service for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Tumulty will be responsible for all customer facing operations - leading the company’s expansion into new markets and ensuring that customers derive increased business value from their applications and infrastructure through the use of Network General’s solutions.
Tumulty offers more than 20 years of experience within the IT industry, and has held a number of senior positions at global companies. Prior to joining Network General he was senior vice president of worldwide sales for HAL Knowledge Solutions, a privately owned provider of Application Portfolio Management software to blue chip companies such as UBS, HSBC, Barclays, Group Santander and Banca Intesa.
Before joining HAL, Tumulty was vice president of northern and southern Europe at Mercury where he led the growth of the business from €30m to over €100m in just over three years.
Tumulty has worked extensively with the channel, most notably as UK channel director during his nine years with Data General, a provider of systems and storage solutions which has since been acquired by EMC. This experience will be vital as Network General’s channel program is expanded to support the company’s focus on new industries and markets.
