Bangalore, India, 2015/12/15 - Arista Networks announced the opening of its new technology centre, with a focus on the development of Arista EOS (Extensible Operating System) software driven products and technologies. NYSE: ANET
The company is hosting an inaugural event with guest speakers and technology demonstrations from industry leading technology partners.
“As businesses and consumers migrate all their applications to the cloud, Arista’s innovative products are well placed to be the platform of choice,” said Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of EkStep. “With Jayshree Ullal’s dynamic leadership, Arista has built a deep R&D portfolio and is partnering closely with businesses and cloud providers around the world and in India to enable this transformational transition.”
The new office represents Arista’s continued commitment to the India market and is among the largest of its global offices. The company opened its first India office in 2010 and has maintained steady growth since that time. Technology partnerships and CloudVision®, a network-wide approach for workload orchestration and workflow automation, announced earlier this year, are key areas of development for the India team.
“This inaugural event is an important milestone, and I am delighted to welcome our honorable luminary, Nandan Nilekani, along with our key partners celebrating Arista’s success as a global innovator,” said Jayshree Ullal, President and CEO for Arista Networks.
Amod Dani, Managing Director of Development and Operations, will head the new centre. Amod has more than 18 years of extensive software and engineering development experience. He helped Arista establish the first software development office in Bangalore and currently oversees the development of Arista EOS features.
The new centre furthers Arista’s commitment to software driven cloud networking across key markets such as Web 2.0, high-tech enterprise, service providers and financial services.
