Cofely Besix Facility Management (CBFM) has been awarded two new facilities management contracts by The Emirates Group to provide Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) maintenance services to the Emirates Group Headquarters, as well as the Emirates Aviation University.
Created in 2008, Cofely Besix Facility Management (CBFM) is a joint-venture between Cofely Services, part of the ENGIE Group, and the BESIX Group to provide first-class integrated facility management services in the Middle East. It has won two facilities management contracts with The Emirates Group and with the Emirates Aviation University.
CBFM has been contracted to provide the Emirates Group Headquarters, located in Rashidiya opposite Terminal 3, with all maintenance work associated with the day-to-day operation of the building, as well as the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of all the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) equipment and operations.
The contract with the Emirates Aviation University, located in Academic City, consists in PPM of all the HVAC and MEP equipment. The scope of service also covers daily operation and monitoring of the Building Maintenance System (BMS) and lighting control systems, as well as civil and carpentry service of the entire premises infrastructure, which includes carpentry and masonry works.

Cofely Besix Airports and Logistics Services was awarded the 2-year facilities management contract for Emirates SkyCargo in 2014. The scope of services for this Cargo Mega Terminal of 43.600m² which has the capacity to process 1.2 million tonnes of cargo annually, includes managing the 24-hour initial Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) setup, all Mechanical and Electrical Plumbing (MEP) operations, HVAC and minor civil works.
