BluAzu announces the launch of a new personal GPS tracking device called Scout. Scout is the first tracking device to combine GPS, Cellular, and Bluetooth LE with world-class antenna technology in a device small enough for pets and children. Scout provides real-time location tracking 24/7 anywhere that cellular service exists. More than just a tracker, Scout provides immediate notification via a smart phone app if it ever leaves a user-designated “safe zone” or enters a “danger zone”.

“Scout's antenna technology is so powerful it works in most indoor environments, as well as outdoors, and under clothing,” said Glenn Zelniker, Ph.D., CTO of BluAzu, the company that has created Scout. “Scout is rugged, impact resistant, and can endure most indoor/outdoor splashes,” Zelniker continued. “It's designed to keep working after a day at the beach or the occasional puddle party. We’re all parents and dog owners here, so it was clear to us what Scout needed to do.”

Users can locate their Scout in real-time on their smart phone from anywhere in the U.S., even if thousands of miles away. Parents or pet owners can create and save custom Safe or Alert Zones where they want (or don't want) their Scout to be. They'll receive immediate notification if Scout enters or leaves one of these zones, and will see Scout move in real-time on the map, so they know where it is all the time.

“Scout is the smallest and most lightweight GPS tracker yet,” said Marty Wynkoop, BluAzu’s COO. “It packs incredible power into a very small footprint, and comes with several attachments that let it be worn in clothing, carried in backpacks, attached to pet collars, or carried by anyone or anything you want to keep safe.”

An additional Scout feature is the “Safety Tether” that helps keep young children or pets safely nearby while giving them freedom to play. With the Safety Tether enabled, the user chooses a distance from the phone, and will receive an immediate warning if Scout strays past the end of the wireless tether.

Scout’s location information and notification settings can be shared with friends and family, and yet the information is highly secure. The apps allow for multiple Scouts in the same account. For more info, please visit FindMyScout.com/.
