- The first movie of two young artist Dario Gulli and Daniel Rossi, Kairos and Kronos Its been released after 8 years. KK has been screened to several independents film festival on 1999 in Italy and at NY Film Festival `99.
KK, code-name for a new kind of cinema. And we have never enough of cinema, because where is a film, there is freedom.
In the first work of Dario Maria Gulli & Daniel Rossi there is the desire for report, documentary, and to celebrate an historic memory of frankly embarrassing stories.
Arezzo, San Giovanni Valdarno and Terni as well as theatres of Tuscany and Umbria which with their beauty moulded by the desperate will to survive were the setting of the unlikely and surrealistic sentimental stories of protagonists, back from the last twenty years;
The last representative of a whole generation, in unstable balance between the dreams and the awareness of their unreality, a prey to the worship of myths of a old-fashioned looseness, this is Dario, this is each of us who is still able to feel enthusiasm, to smile, to love Love and Life.

Dario, an unsuccessful script-writer, last initiate of a “beat generation” printed only on the posters and brought back to life by the lines of a book, tries the profession of author of educational cartoons.
In the company where he is employed he will soon meet the producer, Ivan, an authoritarian man with a personality far too strong, and made up in order to hide his homosexuality and his desire for transgression.
Dario will become a friend of Gary, a dwarf leading a mediocre and trivial life, always devoted to his employer, the same Ivan of the cartoons’ production house.
Brought up by Ivan, Gary will become for Dario his alter ego, the voice of conscience that warns him and pushes him to obey time, the due dates, the paces, the trends and the ways the society imposes on men to give them “peaceful” living together.
Dario’s professional apprenticeship coincides with his sentimental one: first, madly in love with Eva, a beautiful girl with a dark and mysterious past, divided between the being and the seeming. One day, under Ivan’s constant influence Dario decides to break up with that same girl that once had told him about the Time of emotions, which disdains clock hands and tolls and knows only a sound, the heart’s sound.
