DigitalRoute, today announced that it increased its year-on-year revenue for 2014, well outpacing the overall market growth rate• for business support systems for communications service providers (CSPs). In addition, DigitalRoute delivered the most profitable year in its history, driven by a number of new deployments and the launch of key new products built on its MediationZone platform.
DigitalRoute added some 40 new customers in 2014, through a combination of direct and partner sales and across all geographical regions. In addition to important customer wins in the Americas and Asia, the company showed aggressive expansion in the Middle East and Africa.
The company launched new products during the year, moving beyond its traditional domain of billing mediation and further fuelling revenue growth. The new Service Control product addresses the real-time service management needs of CSPs while the Service Assurance product enables superior customer experience management. These two new areas (online control and Service Assurance, respectively) now account for approximately 40% of total order intake.
Further enhancing its core product during 2014, the company released MediationZone 7.0. This major release demonstrated a commitment to big data integration via platforms such as IBM’s Netezza, SAP’s HANA and Hadoop. The release also delivered additional functionality for service management, positioning DigitalRoute even more strongly to add value to real-time data management.
“In 2014, we continued to make significant progress in traditional markets while also positioning the company to successfully meet new opportunities,” said Johan Bergh, CEO at DigitalRoute. “Given the key role of real-time data within the communications industry, I am extremely confident that our new products will become mission-critical strategic assets for telcos.”
Bergh continued,“The fact that our sales growth is more than twice the rate of market growth for our segment attests to both the strength of our product offering and the fact that telcos recognize DigitalRoute as a key partner in tackling the data challenges of the online world.”
