Jive Software, Inc. today announced that Cerner Corp., a global leader in health care technology, has expanded its use of Jive’s enterprise communication and collaboration solutions. Cerner’s 93,000-member community, called “uCern,” uses Jive-n to enable industry-wide collaboration that helps clinicians systemically strive to improve health care delivery. Cerner recently added Jive’s Ideation Module to enhance its client request submission software.
Since 2009, Cerner’s hybrid uCern community has driven knowledge sharing among hospitals, clinicians and medical device companies, as well as technology suppliers, consultants, researchers and industry experts. With the new Jive-powered uCern Ideas, Cerner clients now have a collaborative forum to provide feedback and influence changes in the solutions they use daily.

To date, Cerner has received more than 8,600 ideas and clients submit hundreds of new ideas each week. The company has implemented nearly 850 of these recommendations into its software or solution roadmap. Jive’s Ideation Module helps companies like Cerner to crowd-source creative ideas through rich media sharing, commenting, voting, scoring, highlighting, browsing and filtering.
