Minerva Properties is pleased to announce that Spalding Medical Regional Center has partnered with Cornerstone Associates, Inc., to lease the available medical services space within its new retail village at Heron Bay Golf & Country Club. Part of Tenet Georgia, Spalding Regional is located in Griffin and serves the medical and health care needs of Spalding, Butts, Clayton, Fayette, Henry, Lamar and Pike counties. The new facility at Heron Bay will occupy 11,192 square feet of space at the retail village, which will include an urgent care center and four medical office suites with three exam rooms per suite, and is expected to begin welcoming patients in August 2007.
“The addition of Spalding Medical Regional Center to our new retail village at Heron Bay will allow multiple doctors to expand their local practices,” said Brian Davison, Managing Partner Minerva Properties, LLP. “At the same time, it will provide our homeowners with emergency care facilities located within close proximity and easy access to local physicians and heath care providers.” The urgent care center will be open seven days a week for walk-in visits for minor emergencies.
“By occupying the medical facilities at Heron Bay’s new retail village, we will not only be able to reach out to the many residents in Heron Bay, we will also be able to provide services for the growing population of South Henry and North Spalding Counties,” said John Quinn, CEO of Spalding Regional Medical Center.
According to Quinn, Spalding Medical is currently working with several established physicians, such as obstetricians, primary care physicians and pediatricians, who are interested in expanding their practices into the Heron Bay location.
The retail village at Heron Bay will incorporate a mix of retail, office and medical facilities. The commercial center will encompass ten acres and will contain 86,238 square feet, including 23,602 square feet of high visibility retail space, with drive thru outlets for a coffee shop, a pharmacy and a laundry/dry cleaners. There will also be three designated restaurants at 1,200, 2,442, and 3,247 square feet. The remaining retail space will be reserved for retail oriented offices and other retail businesses. An office component comprised of 51,444 total square feet will also be available, which can be subdivided into individual offices ranging in size from 950 to 5,150 square feet. An out lot expansion area of approximately 10,500 square feet is planned for a free standing restaurant, bank or retail space. The retail spaces will be available for lease, and the office space is for sale under a condominium form of ownership.
A 160-bed acute care hospital, Spalding Regional Medical Center’s programs and services include: 24-Hour Emergency Care, Cardiac Catheterization, Center for Sleep Disorders, Lithotripsy, Laser Surgery, 16-slice CT Scanner, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, including: Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy; Same Day Surgery, Sports Medicine, Non-Invasive Vascular Testing and Auxiliary/Volunteer Services. Women’s services include mammography, nutrition services and bone density testing.
