Starring Colombian actors Flora Martinez and Manolo Cardona together with the Spanish actor Unax Ugalde, “Rosario Tijeras “ is the endless tale of humanity; love, betrayal, death and redemption.
Medellín at night, slow blinking lights seem like a beating heart that loves and wants to continue loving. Antonio and Emilio, friends since childhood gather in a discotheque, and they meet her there. Who is this temptation’s embodiment? It’s Rosario. Rosario, who has always known a way of living soon finds another road. Antonio the shy one, and Emilio the lover, both succumb over this woman’s sensuality and she succumbs over their innocence and nerves.
And so, under the city clouds, the roaring of it’s mountains and a blue sky for a sealing, Rosario, Antonio and Emilio will love, destroy and mend each other’s broken stitches. They will create a relationship where there couldn’t be one, and they will give each other what they are looking for.
They all loved her, some had her, but she only gave her heart to one of them, Antonio, death and love walking hand by hand. Rosario was killed by a bullet shot a long time ago that forced her to run until she got tired, until she couldn’t stand it and let go.
As compelling as it is strangely poignant, “Rosario Tijeras” takes the love-story film and spins it on its head while creating a story that is original and genuinely moving.
