FTI Consulting, Inc., the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced the expansion of its North American Energy & Natural Resources industry team within the firm’s Strategic Communications segment. Kristina Moore joins the firm as a Managing Director in Washington, D.C. and Brian Grove joins as a Managing Director in Houston.
Ms. Moore joins FTI Consulting from the United States Congress, where she spent 14 years advising senior leaders in both the House of Representatives and Senate on energy and environmental policies. Ms. Moore served as Senior Counsel for Oversight for the Senate’s Committee on Environment and Public Works, and as Counsel for two chairmen of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Her experience includes contributing to several pieces of landmark legislation, as well as serving as a lead investigator for several major congressional inquiries. Ms. Moore’s leadership and investigations experience will add value to FTI Consulting’s public affairs clients in Washington, D.C. and around the world.
Mr. Grove joins FTI Consulting after having most recently served as the Deputy Secretary of Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Prior to his service as a regulator, Mr. Grove was a Senior Director of Corporate Development at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where he managed public, government and media affairs matters for the Company’s drilling, completions and production divisions during the peak of activity in the Marcellus Shale region. In addition to a strong regulatory and environmental background, Mr. Grove also has extensive political and government experience from serving in leadership roles for former Pennsylvania governor Tom Ridge, as Chief of Staff to a state senator, and on multiple national and statewide campaigns. Mr. Grove will play a key role in leading the expansion of FTI Consulting’s Energy & Natural Resources industry team in Houston.

These appointments follow a number of other recent senior hires on the growing Energy & Natural Resources industry team, including Tim Glassco, Managing Director based in Austin; Barnaby Briggs, Managing Director based in Brussels; and Nick Wood, Managing Director based in Singapore.
The Energy & Natural Resources industry team serves companies in upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas companies; oilfield services; electric utilities; as well as coal and hardrock mining.
