Clevest Solutions Inc., a leading provider of mobile workforce automation software and services including smart grid mobile technology, today announced it has deployed release 5.1 of its integrated Mobile Workforce Management (MWFM) solution for Colorado Springs Utilities. The solution will be used to deliver services to approximately 680K customers across the municipal utility’s electric, natural gas, water and wastewater operations.

The utility’s GE PowerON OMS system and Verizon Network Fleet AVL system have been integrated with Clevest’s MWFM software through a MultiSpeak compliant Web Services interface routed through Microsoft BizTalk. The project includes Clevest’s WorkBook mobile application with Esri asset data overlays, routing and offline map data capabilities, and the deployment of Oracle 11g for Clevest’s application database.

“Colorado Springs Utilities has had over 15 years of experience with MWFM solutions. They chose to upgrade from their existing solution to Clevest based on our high reliability, configurability, low cost to upgrade and our ground-breaking user interface,” stated Charles Parsons, VP Sales North America, Clevest. “With the deployment of our most innovative solution to date, Colorado Springs Utilities will be able to improve their service response times and safety by driving even greater alignment between the field and the office with a single, integrated MWFM solution.”

Pat Moyer, Customer Field and Measurement Services Manager, Colorado Springs Utilities, explained,“After a rigorous nine-month selection process to find a solution to replace our existing system, we chose Clevest for all four of our lines of business based on the strength of its reliable, feature-rich, intuitive and highly configurable product. That Clevest has both on-premise and cloud-based options and can readily accommodate moving from one deployment model to the other was also appealing. In addition, the Clevest solution provided us with the lowest overall cost of ownership as we transition our legacy capabilities to modern technology. Clevest has met our aggressive deployment schedule and we’re very pleased with the results.”
