Napatech and ipoque, a Rohde & Schwarz company, today announced the demonstration of a 100 Gbps IP classification solution at Mobile World Congress. This joint solution enables real-time insight into traffic on LTE networks and accelerates the delivery of video content to subscribers. Napatech and ipoque push IP analytics speeds even higher to allow network operators to accelerate the identification, analysis and delivery of video over LTE at high data rates.
Napatech accelerators ensure guaranteed zero packet loss capture of network data and delivery of network analysis data under all conditions. Each packet is time-stamped with nanosecond precision, allowing precise identification of events and measurement of time-related quality of service (QoS) parameters such as latency and jitter.
ipoque’s PACE IP classification software allows real-time classification of over 2000 protocols and applications as well as identification of voice, video, peer-to-peer file transfer and QoS metrics for deep insight into the traffic on the network and the subscriber experience.
The demonstration will showcase how Napatech and ipoque provide valuable analytics on mobile video and voice using key performance indicators in real time, such as jitter, call completion statistics, packet loss and call duration for video and voice over LTE.
Dirk Czepluch, president and CTO, ipoque, said: “Using IP classification to provide visibility of the traffic and performance of a network is an essential tool for network operators to understand the behavior of their subscribers and to develop the efficient, adaptive and intelligent mobile networks of the future. With this increase in classification data-rate, we enhance the power of Napatech’s real-time network processing to accelerate the delivery of video over LTE to subscribers with optimized quality of experience.”
Henrik Brill Jensen, CEO, Napatech, said: “We are pleased to join forces with ipoque, one of the world’s leading DPI vendors, in order to help our customers provide real-time insight into traffic on LTE networks. Our accelerators’ nanosecond precision enables extremely accurate measurements of time-sensitive services. This solution is another example of our commitment to deliver high-performance products that decrease time-to-market and risk.”
Napatech and ipoque will demonstrate their 100 Gbps DPI solution at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, March 2-5 at stands 6K20 and 6B50 in hall 6.
