GuestLogix, Inc., the leading global provider of ancillary-focused merchandising, payment and business intelligence technology to the passenger travel industry, today announced a 6+ year renewal and expansion agreement with European catering company, Momentum Services, for the continued support of its retail program onboard rail customer, Eurostar. With this signing, Momentum will replace the POS handheld devices used onboard Eurostar with the Company’s next-generation iOS-version retail platform and payment peripherals for use with the Apple iPad, which will also be utilized to access crew communications and forms for improved efficiency and accessibility onboard. In addition to continued use of the retail platform’s Back Office to monitor retail performance and manage activities such as warehouse and stock management, GuestLogix’ Ancillary Insights™ business intelligence platform will also be implemented for deeper performance analysis and optimization. The Company’s OnTouch® Destination Merchandising and Global Payment Gateway™ will also continue to be leveraged, with GuestLogix continuing to act as Merchant of Record. This agreement with Momentum Services will enable the caterer to sell food and beverage as well as destination activities onboard Eurostar using the Company’s most innovative retailing technology, while maintaining a consistent experience across the operator’s fleet.

This announcement represents our second smartphone and tablet POS technology agreement with a rail customer in the past year, and based on the interest we’ve been receiving from our customers and the passenger travel industry at large, this is only the beginning.”
Momentum became a customer of GuestLogix in September 2012 when the Company acquired its leading competitor, Initium Onboard. The catering provider has since upgraded its technology to the Company’s leading retail platform and POS handheld devices to accept a wider variety of credit cards for the purchase of food and beverage as well as destination-based merchandise offerings onboard its dedicated customer, Eurostar. GuestLogix and Momentum further strengthened its relationship in August 2013 when GuestLogix became Momentum’s exclusive destination-based content provider and announced the deployment of its Global Payment Gateway in a Merchant of Record Agreement.

With the implementation of GuestLogix’ next-generation solutions for smartphones and tablets as well as Ancillary Insights for advanced reporting and analysis, Momentum can anticipate improvements in crew efficiency as well as its overall retail performance. As a customer of GuestLogix, the catering provider will also have the option to extend its retailing to additional travel touchpoints onboard and off board Eurostar, in support of an omni-channel retail environment.
