Frost & Sullivan recently named Xora, Inc., a leading provider of location-based mobile workforce management solutions, as the recipient of the 2007 North American Mobility Award for Mobile Resource Management (MRM) Handheld Device Solution for its Xora GPS TimeTrack product. Xora GPS TimeTrack enables business to track and manage mobile workers via GPS-enabled cell phones.
MRM is a category of business solutions designed to maximize the productivity of mobile workforces. Next-generation MRM solutions combine Internet services with applications that leverage on-demand GPS, dispatch software, wireless capabilities, fleet management tools, and transaction processes to help companies reduce operating costs and improve customer experience.
"Xora’s GPS TimeTrack has been adopted by over 7,000 companies in Transportation, Construction, Government and Business Services." said Frost & Sullivan research director Brent Iadarola. "It is demonstrating a tangible return on investment by tracking employees' timesheets, jobs, and locations using GPS-enabled handsets."
The Xora GPS TimeTrack product is a hosted GPS/location-based mobile solution that enables businesses to have centralized control over remote operations, view location maps, optimize routing of deliveries, track employees, integrate location-aware timesheets with payroll, and manage work-order reports through a Web-based interface.
"Xora's success in providing business customers with innovative MRM solutions is tied directly to its technology platform and carrier partnerships," noted Iadarola. "In particular, Xora’s recently launched IndustrySmart and JobPix features represent significant advances in MRM technology. By taking some very innovative approaches to meet the evolving demands of customers,, Xora has established itself as a leader in the MRM space and is expected to continue to attract customers in a variety of vertical markets."
Xora IndustrySmart is a patent-pending solution from Xora that enables customers to quickly deploy a Xora GPS TimeTrack solution customized to their specific industry. Xora JobPix utilizes camera-phones to allow mobile workers to attach job-related photographs to specific job records which can then be viewed by office staff in near real-time. Both solutions are available today with Xora GPS TimeTrack.
