Voice123, the largest voice over marketplace where voice over talents promote their voice services and voice talent seekers find the best voices for their projects, published the results of a survey revealing what are the preamplifiers mostly used by voice actors subscribed with the Voice123 service.
A preamplifier is an electronic device that professional voiceover talents use for their recordings and Voice123 wanted to know what were the most popular preamps among its users. The survey was carried out through the Voice Over Savvy Forums (voiceoversavvy.com), sponsored by Voice123, where respondents not only answered the survey but also commented about the preamps they use.
Professional voice over actors answered that M-Audio was the most popular preamp, used by 19% of all respondents of the survey. With a tie in second place, 9% of all respondents say they either use a Mackie, a Behringer, or a PreSonus preamp. With an 8% of all answers each, the DBX, Digidesign M-Box, and Focursite preamps were tied in third place, followed by Studio Projects with 4% and Summit with 3%.
The complete results of the survey are available in the Voice Over Savvy Forums and were also published in the last newsletter Voice123 sent to registered voice over talents.
