VOX Talk, a podcast created and produced by the industry experts at Voices.com, the voice marketplace, is now well into it’s first season of educating, entertaining, and consolidating a fragmented and often isolated group of people, professional and beginner voice over talent. With two episodes published each week, the show is a lifeline for many who work full time as voice actors from home recording studios and a source of insight (and a free education) for amateurs breaking into voice overs.
Listeners to the VOX Talk podcast are also contributors. At present, there are three regular correspondents for the podcast, including Adam Fox of Defiant Digital, Julie Williams of Voice-Overs.com and Colin Campbell of Affordable Announcer. A variety of other voice over talent submit audio commentaries about their experiences in the world of voice overs, sharing their knowledge while giving others the much needed encouragement and advice they are seeking when getting started in voice overs or developing their careers.
Many voice actors who are new to the industry take each episode of VOX Talk to heart and apply the knowledge that they have gleaned from industry professionals to grow in their voice over careers. Topics of discussion include business tips, performance and artistic development features, technical how-to guides, product reviews, and words of wisdom from teachers, agents, and fellow voice talents.

There are many different ways to get involved with the VOX Talk podcast. Professionals in the field are invited to record short audio clips and segments to air on the podcast in “The Biz” or “Tech Talk” segments, submit news to share about their careers in “The Loop”, and share audio commentary on issues affecting the industry and voice actors in a special roundup segment called “VOX Box”.
Aspiring talent can also get involved by giving feedback about the podcast to air in the show or even share success stories with their peers. Most importantly, they can help spread the word about this groundbreaking podcast that reaches out to voice actors and industry experts around the world.
