Grand Island, NY, United States, 2007/03/01 - The Basementsaver line of water powered backup sump pumps provides ultra-reliable, zero maintenance, basement flood prevention. The newly remodeled range of 3 different emergency pump systems now boasts 25% increased pumping efficiency.
The Basementsaver line of water powered backup sump pumps is primarily renowned for providing ultra-reliable, zero maintenance, basement flood prevention. The newly remodeled range of 3 different emergency pump systems now boasts a massive increase in pumping efficiency that stretches the performance envelope for all water powered pumps.
The WP1 Pump Model is intended for protection of most residential basements, with normal sump flow, pumping up to 900 gallons per hour. The WP2 Pump Model is for large residential basements with higher sump flow, pumping up to 1,400 gallons per hour. The WP3 Pump Model is most suited to commercial use, pumping up to 2,000 gallons per hour. All 3 models operate using city water, at pressures from 40 to 100 psi, and remove up to 2 gallons of sump water for every gallon of city water used.
Tim Harnois, Master Plumber and owner of +Aquamedic explained:
“With the rise in finished basements, filled with expensive items like home theaters, gym equipment and shop tools the requirement for backup basement sump pumps has increased dramatically over the past 10 years. During that timeframe, we’ve seen some major changes in backup pump technology for residential and commercial basement flood prevention.
Water powered backup pumps are now generally preferred over battery powered units in most basement protection applications. This is primarily due to the fact that the water powered units are far more reliable, having no moving parts to break and having no battery or charger to maintain. Additionally, water powered pumps, will run continuously as long as city water is available, whereas battery powered systems can only run until the battery discharges.
The new Basementsaver WP pump line operates much more efficiently at all water pressures and now extends the lower limit of operation to about 40 psi (pumping actually ceases at about 30 psi for a standard 10ft lift to discharge). The pumps also remove about 25% more water from your basement sump for every gallon of city water used. This is especially important for application in older residential areas, where water pressure is often lower than the national average.
