Established in 2004, Spring Airlines was the first low cost carrier in China and began operations in July 2005. Based in Shanghai, the airline originally focused on domestic routes but began operating to international destinations in 2010, including service to Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Cambodia, Korea and Malaysia. The airline’s entire fleet is powered entirely by CFM56-5B engines and it currently operates 41 Airbus A320ceo aircraft.
