Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) applications, today announced that it has been selected by the National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers.
AVST is delivering unified messaging, voicemail, Atom™ personal assistant, mobile client, speech-enabled automated attendant, and more for the Steelers at the team’s corporate offices as well as its training facility, the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. An IP PBX shelf, located at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, services both locations. Pittsburgh-based Dagostino Electronic Services Inc. delivered the installation as the Steelers’ preferred technology provider and a trusted AVST reseller.
“The selection of AVST was an easy decision based on its 30-year history, track record of success and strong recommendation by Dagostino Electronic Services,” said Ryan Huzjak, Director of Partnerships and Sales for the Pittsburgh Steelers. “Having access to AVST’s mobility enhancements was a big plus. In the future, we plan to roll out unified messaging, personal assistant to manage business communications while on-the-go, and secure access to messages on a mobile client.”
According to Dagostino Vice President Chuck Roberts,“The NFL franchise sought a next-generation Unified Communications solution that could be deployed into its existing IT landscape. AVST is an industry leader in interoperability with proven solutions that we knew would meet the Steelers’ stringent requirements.”
Denny Michael, AVST’s Vice President of Marketing, said the company’s platform offers several off-the-field wins for the Steelers. “They are a first-rate franchise, and we are thrilled to be working with them. The team has a winning reputation with eight Super Bowl appearances in the books. We look forward to helping the organization by delivering even greater staff productivity and fan experience through our solutions.”
The typical enterprise communications infrastructure is made up of a collection of technologies from multiple vendors, acquired over time and never intended to work together. To maximize user and business productivity, while leveraging existing IT investments, interoperability is a must.
AVST (avst.com) delivers the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) platform that brings best-of-breed voice, mobility and business process solutions to the enterprise. Unlike virtually every other UC vendor, AVST does not constrain customers with a single vendor lock-in approach. In fact, it's the very opposite. By connecting new and existing technologies, AVST frees organizations from the constraints of a closed, single-source UC solution, unlocking the full potential of their communications infrastructure.
With over 15 million users worldwide and three decades of innovation excellence, AVST is unifying communications®.
Headquartered in Orange County, California, AVST maintains facilities in Seattle, Washington, Victoria B.C., Canada and the United Kingdom and has remote sales offices throughout the United States. AVST's UC solutions are sold and supported worldwide by an extensive network of resellers and OEM partners.
