According to the company previsions, the ERP-SAP will help achieve a substantial optimisation of the Managing process by improving coordination among the companies under Varvel’s flag, from the logistic hub of Settimo Milanese (Milan, Italy) to the controlled OCI, Benincasa and Imas.
In the following months, SAP system will be supported by a new SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management), which will bring decisive advancements in managing the clientele by focusing on relationships and market needs and a SAP PLM application (Product Life-cycle Management), which will increase performances in product management.
The integration among those applications will benefit logistics and supply chain management, while aiding considerably the internationalisation by improving the relationships with foreigner distributors and the Indian joint venture MGM-Varvel.
“In this first period of implementation the coordination within the company network has already improved significantly says Mauro Cominoli, Managing Director of Varvel SpA reinforcing Group performances in development as well as in market shares”.
