Virtua has been leveraging dbtech’s Ras content management platform for multiple IT platforms since 1998, and in recent years has relied on dbtech’s Scan to Ras function for the capture of physician and government affairs documentation. In 2014 Virtua attended a dbtech eFolders webinar and soon began to investigate how eFolders could serve their immediate scanning needs for Physician Credentialing, with an eye towards invoices and other human resources based documents.

Dbtech’s eFolders is designed to aggregate, distribute and automate structured and non-structured content from any platform into a vendor neutral solution that streamlines all existing paper-bound workflows. “One of the challenges facing EMR’s is the distribution of administrative content. As an example, eFolders will aggregate purchase orders and inbound invoices while managing approval processes. This application of eFolders will save our customers money by avoiding lost and missing invoices,” Park said.

With dbtech’s eFolders platform, customers create a myriad of databases from on-staff physicians, employees, invoices, donations and contracts. eFolders collects content from existing IT platforms and external sources, including outputs from any platform or desktop, scanned images, electronic invoices and photographs. eFolders is designated as a Vendor Neutral Archiving and Automation solution that expedites approvals, collaboration and replaces inefficient paper forms with eForms. “The most frequent questions we hear are regarding integrating our eFolders platform with various EMR or financial system platforms, and this has been given great attention by our design and development teams. Our API makes eFolders content and functionality easily accessible to all Epic, Soarian, Meditech, Lawson and PeopleSoft users.
