The inaugural award ceremony was set up by Greater Manchester Business Week and law firm, Ward Hadaway.
The shortlist was compiled by independent economic researchers using publicly available data from Companies House. Three awards were presented at the ceremony to the fastest growing small, medium and large businesses; Noble Systems won the award for medium business and was placed 20th on the entire Fastest 50 list.
