Clearwater, FL, United States, 2007/02/12 - The new version of LinkFixerPlus for AutoCAD automatically fixes links in AutoCAD 2007 files that point to external files (such as xrefs, images, fonts, sheet sets and other linked files) - LinkFixerPlus.com.
LinkTek Corporation, the world’s leading provider of software that automates the management and repair of links contained within a wide variety of common file formats, announced today the release of a new version of their LinkFixerPlus link maintenance and repair program. The new version of LinkFixerPlus for AutoCAD automatically fixes links in AutoCAD 2007 files that point to external files (such as xrefs, images, fonts, sheet sets and other linked files) when AutoCAD files are renamed or moved — for example, when files are renamed due to a project name change, or when files are moved to a new folder, disk drive or server.
“We are utilizing LinkFixerPlus to enhance our online archiving. It allows us to quickly repair previously moved projects and gives us the flexibility to much more easily move archival material. This especially pays off when we migrate the projects that are on hold to our archive server and have to make them active again at a later time,” says Steven Edwards, Vice President of IT for Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates, an award winning, architecture, interior design and planning firm in Chicago.
This newest release adds to LinkFixerPlus’ ability to rename and move AutoCAD R13 through R2006 files, as well as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, HTML, InDesign, PageMaker, Acrobat and Windows shortcut files, without causing broken links.
First introduced at the 2002 Internet World convention in New York City, LinkFixerPlus (linkfixerplus.com) won the Best of Show award in the design category. Since that time, LinkFixerPlus has been favorably mentioned on: Computer America talk radio, CNET radio, CNNfn, PC Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, the Washington Post, the New York Times, Computer World and the Wall Street Journal.
Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, LinkTek Corporation (linktek.com) provides software solutions for automating the management and repair of links contained within a wide variety of prevalent file formats. LinkTek’s flagship product LinkFixerPlus breaks new ground and introduces the new software category of “automatic link repair”.
