JPA Health Communications (JPA), a globally-ranked public relations agency specializing in healthcare, announced today that Jeff Goldfarb will join the agency as a vice president in its Washington, D.C. office effective February 3. Goldfarb brings 20 years of marketing, branding, and communications experience to his new post, with deep experience in the healthcare industry.
Prior to joining JPA, Goldfarb served as vice president and senior strategist at Matthews Media Group. There, he developed strategic communications plans and managed patient recruitment initiatives of clinical trials for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies as well as the National Institutes of Health. He also managed public health communications programs for the Food and Drug Administration and National Cancer Institute.

Goldfarb’s communications experience has included grassroots initiatives and social media work with campaigns for the Food and Drug Administration and the National Cancer Institute. Before his roles with MMG, Goldfarb worked on award-winning marketing programs for products including Claritin and Glucophage. He previously managed marketing objectives for clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the Baltimore Ravens with Trahan, Burden, Charles, Inc.
Goldfarb earned a master’s degree in marketing and corporate strategies from The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. Goldfarb serves on the Advisory Board of the Melanoma International Foundation, which provides strategic guidance and support to melanoma patients around the globe.
