SIPPO WebRTC Application Controller (WAC) is a new product category that manages WebRTC applications providing seamless integration with existing OSS and BSS in NGN and IMS architectures. SIPPO WAC is fully compliant with the 3GPP architecture and implements a number of advanced functionalities including identity management, user provisioning, synchronized contact and addressbook management, policy control, security control, statistics and integration with a variety of existing elements in the enterprise or service provider networks.

SIPPO WAC includes an ORCA.js compatible API for application developers hiding all the complexities of WebRTC signaling and media, hence enabling applications to be developed once and run in different devices, browsers and network environments. Several signaling mechanisms are already supported including SIP over WebSockets, JSON, and REST-based APIs. Along with SIPPO WAC, Quobis has developed a number of WebRTC applications for specific verticals such as the SIPPO WebRTC Collaborator or SIPPO Click2Call.

“It’s all about managing the complexity of integrating web applications into the telco world”, says Iago Soto, Quobis CMO. “SIPPO is being trialed by service providers and enterprises around the world and there are some early deployments going on as well along with leading infrastructure vendors”. SIPPO WAC, along with industry-leading WebRTC gateways, provides a complete solution in order to integrate and manage WebRTC solutions.
