PRECISE MINI-PROBE FOR TIGHT SPACES
More and more machining companies are using miniature machining centers in order to produce complex parts with complex geometries and small tolerances for medical technology, electronics, the dental industry and other areas. The measurement of these parts often failed in the past due to the fact that there was too little room for a touch probe in the machine, both in the Z direction as well as in the tool magazine. With a diameter of only 25 millimeters and a length of 44.2 millimeters (without shank and stylus), this mini-probe fits in any small machining center and even leaves enough room to measure on the Z axis without a danger of collision. The IRP40.50 is not only highly precise, but also takes small and delicate workpieces into consideration with its low probing force of 0.7 N (XY).
HDR INFRARED TRANSMISSION (HIGH DATA RATE)
Even with this small touch probe IRP40.50, the proven HDR infrared transmission (high data rate) is used. This guarantees that only the system's own signals are processed. Disturbances caused by extraneous light are ruled out. Thus, reliable and fast infrared transmission is ensured.
The m&h IRP40.50 is activated with bidirectional signals between the probe and receiver. This is done with separately coded signals and is therefore just as secure as the mechanical methods. At the same time, it is also ensured this way that the touch probe is switched off when it's stored in the tool magazine.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT AND ECONOMICAL
Newly developed electronics from m&h are also used in this mini-probe, which makes do with much less energy than previously known touch probes. As a result, the probes can be used for a longer time between battery changes. This not only saves on maintenance effort, but also batteries. The costs for the user are lowered and the environment is protected.
