Doug is taking the mantle from the region’s former Commercial Leader, Neil Ferguson. Neil’s new position will see him as Joint Integrity Leader for North and South America.
Doug Sangster now assumes direct responsibility for the region and will work closely with APAC lead Dean Jenkins and the APAC team. Doug will continue to build on the existing regional base that showcases Hydratight’s expertise and service ability not only in the region, but across the globe.
Doug will ensure that Hydratight thrives in the region, managing a strong sales and marketing team capable of developing relationships to better support and develop the company’s customers.
With over 25 years in the oil and gas industry, Doug has worked in the UK, eastern Canada, Asia Pacific and Australia. His expertise lies in managing services applicable to the construction and maintenance of process plants, including bolting, machining and flange management.
Doug joins Hydratight from Halliburton PPS in Australia. Prior to joining Halliburton, he held esteemed positions in Nowsco, Salvesen Oilfield Technology, BJ Comtec, BJ PPS and Weatherford PPS.
Hydratight's innovative products and services have ensured the integrity of all types of flanges and mechanical connectors. Hydratight (hydratight.com) can trace its roots back to 1901 when the Sweeney business was founded in the United States. The company’s first torque tools appeared on the scene in 1949. But the heart of today’s business began to beat in the 1970s with the creation of the GKN Pilgrim, Hydratight (later to become Hydratight Sweeney) and Hedley Purvis companies.
