Electro Standards Laboratories announces the new Model 9746 Series of High Density A/B switches. The Model 9746 series is comprised of five models that can be purchased separately. Models accommodate 8, 16, 24, 32 and 40 channels. Up to 40 channels fit into a standard rackmount style chassis that is 19” W x 8.75” H x 13” D (48.3 x 22.2 x 33.0 cm). This switching solution allows the users to add quick and easy backup switching capability to their data network.

Each switch in the Model 9746 system is manually operated. The user controls each channel separately via a knob located on the front panel. There is one A/B selector knob per channel. Each switch channel has a monitor port located on the top panel, one monitor port per channel. Monitor port wires are soldered to the rotary switches at the same points as the common port wires. Internal wiring T586B utilizes CAT5e rated material and CAT5e rated connectors. Each switch switches all 8 pins of the RJ45 interface. No power is required for this manual switch.

This switch system allows the IT Manager to purchase just the switching capability that is needed immediately with the ability to add to the system later as required. This reliable system is precision manufactured with quality components. Customization is available.

The company Website has detailed information on the five switch systems including an easy-to-read table listing the numbers of channels, and the catalog and model numbers. The spec sheet also features diagrams of the front and rear panels for each model. Visit the Website to view and compare all five product offerings.

For more information on the Model 9746 Series of high density A/B Switch Systems, contact Electro Standards Laboratories. Their knowledgeable staff of sales engineers can provide the product and application information necessary to ensure that you receive the exact switch to meet your requirements.
