Aeroflex Incorporated (“Aeroflex”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp. (NYSE:ARX), today announced the appointment of Sandi Alexander Habinc as Managing Director for Aeroflex Gaisler, a HiRel business of Aeroflex Microelectronic Solutions. Mr. Habinc will have direct responsibilities for Aeroflex Gaisler based in Goteborg, Sweden.
“Mr. Habinc has been with Aeroflex Gaisler since 2001 providing management and technical expertise,” said Rafi Albarian, Vice-President and COO of Aeroflex Microelectronic Solutions HiRel businesses. “We are excited about continuing to grow Aeroflex Gaisler’s Intellectual Property (IP) for HiRel space and commercial applications, along with future standard products for these markets. Sandi has the full support of Aeroflex.”

Mr. Habinc brings more than 20 years of HiRel IP and microelectronic experience to his new position. He began his career with Saab Space AB and continued at the European Space Agency in the Spacecraft Control and Data Systems Division. Since 2001, as one of the founding partners of Gaisler Research, Sandi has held technical and management positions in the domain of on-board computers, ASIC/FPGA/VHDL/IP core design, telemetry and telecommand systems, along with operating responsibilities. Sandi earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Computer Science Degrees from Chalmers University of Technology in Goteborg.
