Testronic, the Leaders in Quality Assurance, Localization Services, Compliance, and Certification is proud to announce the release of the Automated Compliance Test Tool for MIPI driving the Agilent Technologies’ U4421A. This new protocol suite gives test and validation engineers an easy way to validate CSI-2 products with a touch of a button.
The Protocol conformance suite is a valuable tool to the Agilent U4421A offering automation for running CSI-2 protocol conformance with the U4421A requiring minimal user input. The user interface allows easy configuration, and saves all necessary logs in an HTML test report, in addition the Raw captured test run data will be saved CSV file format on a pre-definable location. The User Interface gives a direct view of the passed/failed test cases and works for al configuration of DUTs up to four data lanes and one clock lane.
Automated and fast test execution is key in today’s market, and this is exactly what the conformance test suite offers. You can run: Single tests, Group test or test a whole chapter for the CTS defined by the MIPI consortium.
Testronic will also introduce the conformance test tool for DSI products, utilizing the same features as the CSI-2 protocol suite. The DSI protocol conformance suite is expected Q1 2014.
“Our customers are keenly interested in D-PHY CTS validation testing”, said Phil Stearns, Mobile Computing Senior Product Manager with Agilent Technologies. “This type of test provides the confidence that their products will work with a wide variety of host and device designs. Testronic Lab’s test suite delivers complete Chapter 9 CTS protocol coverage, while offering additional tests to stress designs under ‘corner case’ conditions.”
“We are extremely excited to be able to provide the CSI-2 protocol conformance suite for the Agilent’s MIPI automation offering. Testronic knows that automation is crucial in today’s solution and this is exactly what the suite offers.” said Johan Craeybeckx, global Chief Technical Officer at Testronic. “We are committed to helping clients develop products which comply with industry standards. To do so we consistently need to deliver the highest quality service and being able to cooperate with Agilent’s solutions and technological insights will enable us to do just that.”
About the MIPI Alliance
The MIPI Alliance is a nonprofit corporation that operates as an open membership organization. All companies in the mobile device industry are encouraged to join, including semiconductor companies, software vendors, IP providers, peripheral manufacturers, test labs and end product OEMs. Today, nearly 200 member companies actively participate in the alliance, developing interface specifications that drive consistency in processor and peripheral interfaces, promoting reuse and compatibility in mobile devices.
The U4421A MIPI D-PHY Exerciser/Analyzer addresses these challenges by combining a true protocol analyzer protocol-aware triggering, filtering, storage qualification and analysis, the first “raw” view of data (an oversampling of states that lets you see they “why” of your protocol, instead of the “what”), and a full-featured protocol exerciser all in one instrument.
