NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Dubai, UAE, United Arab Emirates, 01/31/2007 - The General Secretariat of the Executive Council has informed Dubai government officials that a new methodology is being designed to automate and monitor the performance of Dubai government departments.

Specialist performance management software is to be used to streamline operations between the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) and the Government performance management system.

In its first phase starting February, Dubai government departments will use the PBViews software, a specialized performance management and balanced scorecard software solution, to measure and enter the operational results and key performance indicators (KPI’s) common to both the Dubai Government Excellence Award and the Government performance management system.

Used worldwide by performance driven government and business entities, PBViews facilitates the monitoring of performance across different levels of the organization starting from financial operations, employee training and development, measurement of client satisfaction up to the achievement of strategic objectives.

The Executive Council said the new methodology will ensure a more professional approach to the collection, analysis, assessment and monitoring of performance results of government departments.

Government departments will find the software a useful time saving resource to prepare and submit their DGEP AWARD applications for evaluation.

The Executive Council will roll out a second phase of the software in September for the entry of the remaining performance indicators of DGEP results which will further ease the process of performance data collection and analysis.
