Camgian Microsystems has increased its employee base by 47 percent creating new, high-tech jobs in Mississippi. This increase is due to a growth in the development of new programs and products.

Since January 2013, Camgian has added electrical engineers, computer scientists and marketing personnel in order to meet new project demands. With the majority of these new hires being recent Mississippi State University (MSU) graduates and alumni, Camgian is enhancing the quality of job opportunities in Starkville for MSU students and graduates. “Camgian is adding new, high paying jobs to the Thad Cochran Research Park which benefits both the University and the Starkville community”, says Marc McGee, director of the MSU Research and Technology Corporation, the entity that manages the park.

Camgian now has 31 full time employees in Mississippi. “We are excited about our growth and the opportunity to continue building our operations in Mississippi,“ says Gary Butler, Chairman and CEO of Camgian Microsystems.

The growth of Camgian (camgian.com) has been a result of identified opportunities within the machine-to-machine (M2M) market. The M2M market is projected to grow to an $86 billion market by 2017. Camgian’s focus in this market will be around providing business intelligence across various industries in order to better connect businesses to their customers and improve operational efficiency.

Named by Inc. Magazine as one of America’s fastest growing private companies, Camgian Microsystems is a leading provider of advanced sensing technologies and solutions to the government and industrial sectors.
