Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), has announced that Barbara Zimonja, WPO member and president of Premier Resorts International, Inc., has been named a Utah Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2006 winner. Zimonja won in the Business Services category. She has been president of Premier Resorts, based in Park City, Utah, since 1997. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses. Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges composed of area leaders from business, academic and civic organizations.
“Barbara is a most deserving winner of this award,” said Firestone. “She always tells people that she worked her way up from the mail room before becoming a leading force in the hospitality industry. I am pleased to see her efforts being recognized with this prestigious honor.”
