FTI Consulting, Inc., the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organisations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced that Alan Arguile, Sharda Naidoo and Bheki Mpofu have joined the firm as part of the Strategic Communications practice in South Africa.
Arguile will serve as Managing Director and will be based in the firm’s Johannesburg office. He is a veteran communications professional with broad corporate communications, media relations, strategy, research and management coaching expertise. Across a 30-year career, he has advised a wide array of South Africa’s leading companies, international corporations and governmental entities.
Naidoo will serve as Managing Director and will be based in the firm’s Johannesburg office. In this role, she will lead the expansion of the firm’s financial communications and investor relations services in South Africa. Naidoo has 18 years of experience in financial media, stakeholder management and financial market intelligence. Most recently, she was responsible for corporate affairs and investor relations for the MENA and Eurasia regions at Gold Fields, a leading mining company listed in New York and Johannesburg. Previously, she was head of communications for HSBC Investment Bank South Africa and conducted research on Africa for UK-based companies and hedge funds. For 15 years, she worked as a financial writer and editor for South Africa’s top financial publications and contributed to some of the leading U.S. and UK financial publications. She also has co-authored two books.
Mpofu will serve as a Senior Director and will be based in the firm’s Johannesburg office. He is a seasoned media and communications expert, with more than 16 years of experience as a senior journalist and consultant. Mpofu joins from a South African communications firm, where he advised major corporate clients. Previously, he worked at South Africa’s leading financial newspaper Business Day for 10 years in a number of senior editorial roles, following in-house experience at the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Nedcor Bank.
