Olathe, KS, United States, 2007/01/12 - Career College Central Magazine, dedicated to becoming the definitive voice of the career college sector of higher education, launched in January.
It’s a sector of higher education that often gets overlooked, but a new magazine hopes to change that. Career College Central Magazine, launched in January, strives to become the definitive voice of the career college sector of higher education.
The bimonthly magazine launched its inaugural 72-page edition this January, featuring analyses of current trends in the career college sector, interviews with prominent executives, research on topics relevant to college directors, and wisdom from leading experts in all areas of for-profit education.
The magazine came about because of a void in current media coverage of the for-profit sector of higher education.
“When we searched for information about the career college sector, we realized two things,” said Publisher and Editor Kevin Kuzma. “First, there just wasn’t much information about trends and new developments in proprietary education. And second, no one was telling the incredible success stories of the teachers and students who attend these colleges.”
The first issue includes:
- Recaps of education conferences;
- News about campus openings, mergers and acquisitions, and personnel changes;
- Legislative developments in Washington;
- In-depth articles on career college executives or education issues relative to for-profit institutions;
- Insights from prominent sector leaders and executives; and
- Interviews with successful students.
The January/February issue, which was released Dec. 31, was distributed to 12,000 readers at more than 3,000 career colleges throughout North America. The readership is comprised of college directors, school presidents, school owners, corporate CEOs, equity firms, investors, associations and foundations, and advertising and marketing agencies.
The early response from readers has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Career College Central offers the complete package for all career college professionals and executives,” said Bill Clary, President and CEO of Elite Consultants, Inc. “You won’t find a more comprehensive coverage of news and analysis on the career college sector anywhere.”
