DRS Technologies, a Finmeccanica Company, announced today that its Technical Services business unit is one of the awardees for a five-year, performance-based, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a $10 billion ceiling for the complete scope of tactical command, control and communications (C3T) systems, equipment, services and data.

The contract supports the Army’s Program Executive Office Command Communications and Control (PEO C3T) mission. Users will be able to quickly acquire a wide range of C3T support, including hardware, software, engineering, and logistics in response to rapidly changing warfighter communication needs. DRS has assembled more than 60 teammates to cover the full depth and breadth of the effort’s scope.

“With this vehicle we will continue to provide advanced communications technology in support of the warfighter,” said Tim Hassell, the DRS GTACS Program Director. “We are very pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with PEO C3T providing tactical and logistical communications services and look forward to the challenge of performing on this contract.”

“The winning DRS bid is a reflection on our experience and superior past performance in the realm of tactical logistical communications support for the warfighter,” commented Hassell. “We look forward to writing another chapter in our rich history of working with the military communications designers, both stateside developing state-of-the-art communications systems and working in theater shoulder-to-shoulder with service members to meet their critical communications needs.”

DRS Technical Services, headquartered in Herndon, Va., provides services and support to military forces, government intelligence agencies, and prime contractors worldwide. Core capabilities include satellite communications services, integrated tactical communications and information technology, integrated security solutions, and maritime systems.

DRS Technologies (DRS.com) is a leading supplier of integrated products, services and support to military forces, intelligence agencies and prime contractors worldwide. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Finmeccanica SpA (FNC.MI), which employs approximately 70,000 people worldwide.
